How to Make a Quadcopter Drone easily at Home

A quadcopter is a multirotor helicopter that is lifted and propelled by four rotors. Drones are quite popular these days, and you can get a nice one without spending too much money. To build your own drone can feel like an intimidating task but fortunately, it’s not as hard as it sounds and with a little guidance you’ll be able to built your own drone.

1.Frame

Frame is an important basic infrastructure upon which we could assemble assemble all these basic or additional component needed to built a drone. Anyone can prepare this at home or it could be purchased from varours source like online shop.

After making or purchasing a frame, next is to mounting brushless motors on the frame. Place each motor over the holes then use screws or bolts to secure them in place.

2.Brushless Motors

Motors are used to rotate the propellers through which it produces thrust to fly the drone. There are lot of brushless motor choices out of which it’s hard to decide the correct one. When choosing motors, there are specs that comes with the motor provided by the manufacturer. We should find detailed information about the weight, thrust, power, rpm etc.
 

After mounting motors, now slide the propellers over the motors and screw the caps that came with the motors over the top of the posts.

3.Propellers

Propellrs are attached on brushless motors, 2 pair rotates clockwise and another 2 pair counter clockwise.

After mounting motors with the propellers, now tie ECS to secure the speed controllers to the bottom of the frame. Zip ties could be used to tie them all.

4.ESC (Electronic Speed Controls)

Electronic Speed Controls should be attached with each brushless motor for rotation speed. It's responsible to deliver Electrical Power to the Motors and the Specifications of ESCs are directly dependent on the Motor’s Specification. If your Motor needs 12V 10A then you should get a 3S 15A or 3S 20A ESC ie. 1.5 to 2 times of the Motor Current Rating.

 

5.Flight Controller

Attach the flight controller to the drone frame and connect all the components with flight Controller, it is the central component of drone. The flight controller relays information from the remote control to the power distribution board.

8.GPS

GPS gives you an added features, if the battery cells becomes down during hovering, it return to the starting point (take off point) through latitude longitude.

   

10.Battery

Quadcopter uses LiPo (Lithium Polimer) battery with minimum 2200 mAh 3S1P 25C specification. Mount the battery in the top center of the frame.

11.Charger
